College Street’s platform handles trams in one direction only. Trinity is one half of the Green Line’s one-way pair through the centre of the city: trams travelling the other way call at Westmoreland, about 130 m off, and passengers who arrive at the wrong one simply walk round the corner.

The stop opened in 2017 with Luas Cross City and stands at the side of Trinity College Dublin, which is what most people are here for, along with the Olympia Theatre a short walk west. South of the platform the two tracks of the one-way section come back together and the trams swing round College Green on their way out towards Sandyford and Brides Glen. Tara Street, on the DART and the commuter lines, is about 340 m away on foot, which this site reckons at six minutes.
