Cheeverstown was built as a place to leave the car. Its car park holds 312 spaces, and the stop is laid out on reserved track beside Katherine Tynan Road in the Cheeverstown district so that drivers coming in from the south-west can finish the journey by tram. There is cycle parking as well.

Like the rest of the Saggart branch it opened in 2011, and it sits between Fettercairn and Citywest Campus. Its Irish name is Baile an tSíbhrigh. Because the branch is worked separately at quiet times, passengers travelling between here and the city centre at those hours change trams at Belgard.

Park & RideYes

luas.ie publishes no facility list for individual Luas stops, so the only stop-level facts here are the Park & Ride and Cycle & Ride flags from the operator’s own stop data. Absence of a row is not evidence that something is missing.

What is near Cheeverstown

There is nothing mapped within 400 m of the platforms, and the only thing within about a kilometre is Jobstown Park, roughly 990 m away. The stop stands on the open south-western fringe of the built-up area, where the surroundings are the car park, the road and the housing of Cheeverstown and Jobstown behind it. Most of the people who use it arrive by car or bicycle rather than on foot.
