Broadstone - University Luas stop
Luas Green Line · An Chloch Leathan
About Broadstone - University
The stop faces the front of the former Broadstone railway station, a terminus that lost its trains long before the Luas came back to the site; trams began calling outside it in 2017, when Luas Cross City opened along the old cutting behind. The Irish name on the signs is An Chloch Leathan.
It has not always had its present name. Until it was renamed, the stop was Broadstone – DIT, after the institute whose campus it serves, and older maps and diagrams still carry the earlier label. The platforms are a short walk from the Technological University Dublin buildings at Linenhall and from the King’s Inns, and they are the closest point on the Green Line to Henrietta Street. Trams run north from here to Grangegorman and south to Dominick and the city centre.
