Kingswood Luas stop
Luas Red Line · Coill an Rí
About Kingswood
A length of reserved track beside the R383 is all there is to Kingswood, and that is the point of it: the stop was put where the Red Line passes the Kingswood Heights housing estate, to give the estate a tram of its own. It opened with the line in 2004, and the Irish name on the signs is Coill an Rí.
Trams run from here towards Red Cow and the city centre in one direction and towards Belgard, where the line divides for Tallaght and Saggart, in the other. There is cycle parking at the stop. Everything a passenger comes for is in the streets behind the track rather than at the platforms, so Kingswood is a stop that fills and empties with the walk to and from the houses around it.
First and last trams from Kingswood

Facilities
luas.ie publishes no facility list for individual Luas stops, so the only stop-level facts here are the Park & Ride and Cycle & Ride flags from the operator’s own stop data. Absence of a row is not evidence that something is missing.

Frequently asked questions
The R383. The Red Line has its own reserved track along the side of the road here, rather than running in the carriageway, and the platforms sit on that reservation.
Mainly the Kingswood Heights housing estate next to the line, along with the streets and industrial units around it. There is nothing at the platforms themselves, so every journey from the stop begins with a walk in from the surrounding roads.
