About Clongriffin
Clongriffin is one of the newest stations on the northern coast line, created under the Northern Fringe Development plan and in operation since 19 April 2010. Its Irish name is Stáisiún Chluain Ghrifín. It sits at the western edge of Clongriffin itself, on the Dublin–Belfast line between Portmarnock and Howth Junction and Donaghmede, and is also reached from Myrtle Avenue in Baldoyle, so it serves northern Donaghmede and Balgriffin as well.
There are two platforms in use and a third that is not. A line splits off to the south of the station to reach it and merges back just to the north, but it has never been brought into service, and all trains use the active pair. Access is by lift and stairs on the northbound side and by ramp on the southbound. A car park below ground was built with 400 spaces and was free of charge, but the operator’s current notice says it is closed until further notice, so it should not be relied on. The information office is open on weekdays only, and the northern terminus of Dublin Bus route 15 is next to the station.

What is near Clongriffin
Beau Park Square, about 330 m away, is the only named open space listed within reach of the platforms, which is a reasonable picture of an area still filling in around a station built for it. Most of what surrounds the station is housing, and most passengers arrive on foot from it or off the 15 bus, whose northern terminus is alongside. Bicycle parking is provided; the car park below ground is not currently available.

Frequently asked questions
Nothing, at present. A line leaves the running tracks south of the station to reach a third platform and rejoins them just to the north, but that platform is not in use. All services call at the two active platforms.
Not at the moment. The station was built with a car park below ground, 400 spaces and free of charge, but Iarnród Éireann’s own notice says it is closed until further notice. Bicycle parking is available, and the 15 bus terminates beside the station.
